The USB port on the RPI Pro is mainly designed as USB audio output to a DAC (it works in USB host mode to send digital audio out).
However, it also supports OTG functionality, so depending on the setup it can work in different roles for peripherals (e.g. external storage/control purposes), but its primary audio application is still output.
