Questions about the second SD Card and Installing Volumio on RPi Pro

Marshall

Hi, I received the RPI Pro today, and it sounds fantastic. In combination with the USB UIP and OCK-2S, the sound is very clean, with an improved soundstage, and everything feels nicely rhythmic.I have a few questions about the two SD cards provided with my RPi Pro:

What is the function of the second SD card? I see a bunch of files but I'm not sure what they do.
Can I install Volumio OS on the RPi Pro? How does it work with the two SD cards provided?

Hello, thank you for your questions!

We're glad to hear you're enjoying the sound!

The second SD card is pre-installed with Moode OS, which is a standalone Raspberry Pi media system, similar to Ropiee or Volumio OS. Moode OS also supports UPnP, DLNA, AirPlay, and other streaming protocols, so you can use it to play music over your network.

If you want to use Volumio, you can flash it to the second SD card. The first SD card remains as a backup system in case anything goes wrong. The two SD cards are provided so you can switch between different OS and have a fallback option during system flashing.
