LHY Gear and setting up

Hi all, brand new to the forum!
I have the below items and I am wanting assistance on the best way to install setup - Thanks for advance.

LHY SW6 Switch
LHY FMC
LHY RPI Pro Streamer

I use a Mac Mini M4 running Roon & also HQ Player

Any help on installation for all components would be appreciated, I don't need help with setting up Roon or HQ Player

Nice setup — you're basically already there.

I'd just do:
Mac Mini → SW6 → Isolated RJ45 → FMC → fiber → RPI Pro → DAC

Nothing fancy, no settings to tweak.
The FMC is there purely to break electrical noise, so keep it between the switch and the streamer.

I run almost the same chain with Roon and HQPlayer and it's been rock solid.
Set it once, forget it, enjoy the music 👍

Looks like a solid and well-thought-out chain!

That said, if you have the chance, it's still fun to play around a bit. FMC placement can behave slightly differently depending on the system, so there's no harm in trying a few options.

In my experience, placement of the FMC can change the overall presentation depending on the system and environment. Besides putting it between the switch and the streamer, you could also try:

Router →FMC → SW6 →MAC Mini + RPI Pro
SW6 → FMC→Mac Mini
SW6 → FMC → RPI Pro

Sometimes the differences are small, sometimes they're more obvious — you never really know until you listen. Trust your ears and stick with what sounds best to you.

Half the fun is experimenting anyway. 🙂
